Our interns dive into hands-on projects that put them at the center of the livability world, working closely with Open Plans staff, meeting stakeholders across the city , and working on projects that directly impact our streets and public spaces.

The Department of Environmental Protection is proposing to weaken a longstanding rule that protects NYC school children from the pollution caused by idling cars. Car exhaust causes higher rates of asthma and chronic respiratory illness.
