StreetopiaUWS has released a new vision for W 72nd Street that is much more inviting, vibrant, & pedestrian-friendly than the current car-focused corridor. By using street space for bus lanes, wider sidewalks, greenery, loading zones, seating, & micromobility, we can remake this major city street into a place that works better for everyone. |

The social cost of e-commerce |
Columbia students recently measured the impact of booming e-commerce sending more & more delivery trucks to NYC streets: because we don't have as many loading zones as we need, delivery trucks double park, causing pollution to rise significantly & costing at least $667,315/day in lost wages in Manhattan alone. |
