City of Yes for Housing Opportunity is moving through the Domino's pizza delivery tracker of city government, and next up is the City Planning Commission. After Community Board and Borough President review, our Planning Commissioners will review the text amendment, hear public comment, and vote later this summer.

Which means you have an opportunity to show your support on Wednesday, July 10th at 10am. This is a critical time to show public approval for the proposal to ensure that the Commissioners feel confident and supported voting in favor. 

You can register at this link to testify in person or virtually and use this toolkit to prep. We're one step closer to passing this text amendment, which includes fully lifting arbitrary parking mandates that require new buildings to include parking spots whether they're needed or wanted. 

Less congestion, traffic violence & pollution was scheduled for a June 30 delivery, until Kathy Hochul put an indefinite pause in the process. Spend a few minutes calling these decision makers to make it clear that NYers want this vital program to start on June 30 as promised!

🎤 The Columbus Amsterdam BID is hosting a month-long event on the Open Street supporting & showcasing talented local musicians. This Sunday, June 30th at 2pm, the Alexandra Castano Trio & Bolero will be serenading you & your neighbors at 106th St & Amsterdam.

🎆 Celebrate 4th of July a day early at the La Guardia Community Greenway on July 3rd from 1 to 4pm & catch the Open Plans team to pick up a pin or sticker & learn more about our work.

💭 DOT is collecting your thoughts on proposed design concepts for Grand Army Plaza & the Vanderbilt Open Street. They're hosting a virtual workshop on June 25 at 12pm & an online survey is open through July 31.

🥦 The Mount Sinai Greenmarket will take over the sidewalk & curb lane every Wednesday, starting June 19 to November 27 on Madison Avenue between East 98th Street & East 99th Street.

🍽 Deadline for applications for permanent outdoor dining is August 3.
